DUMAC Attends Digital Dining Conference Posted on September 15, 2000 DUMAC principally uses Digital Dining software for our Table Service clients. Six of our DUMAC people recently attended the annual Digital Dining conference where DUMAC was awarded: One company plaque for sales achievement One plaque to Shari Lee-Buckley, one of our support people. Shari was one of 10 people in the U.S. awarded the "Digital Dining Technical Award of Excellence" in recognition of professionalism and expertise as a support person. Digital Dining has added several new "standard" features (version 7.1 and newer): Check Profiling: Allows the system to be programmed to search through an order and create coupons based upon the profile of a check. For example, one who orders an entree and dessert may be given a coupon for 1/2 price appetizer for next visit. This is especially useful in delivery sites. Encourage pizza buyers to order more wings, sub buyers to order more pizzas, etc. Send & Stay: Allows the server to key in part of an order (like drinks), touch a button to send these items, and stay with the opened check to finish entry of the remainder of the order. This provides extra time for the preparation of items. Future Order: Allows the entry of an order for a date in the future. This is especially useful for sites that pre-arrange Banquets, as well as Pizza/delivery sites. Compare To reporting: Allows the entry of 2 date-ranges in custom reporting. This allows the user to run a single report that will compare 2 time periods by both percentage and actual differences, on the same report.
