Update on the Personal Smart Charger
Posted on October 1, 2000 Are you a Panasonic Ultraplex™ Wireless Communication System User? You probably have the "Personal Smart Charger" mounted on the wall in your restaurant. In talking with some of you we have learned that many people did not know that the four bay battery charger comes with a "Condition Option". This feature supplements the extended battery life design by allowing you to condition a battery up to three consecutive times when battery power seems to diminish. The charger is already smart enough to finish erasing a battery charge when a battery is placed into the Personal Smart Charger for charging. So far, batteries have been lasting most customers three to four years. Sometimes a battery seems to have a diminished run time. Bay 4, (last charging bay on the right) allows you to condition the battery so you do not have to buy a new one.

After the voice mail system answers the phone, press 2, wait for the dispatcher and ask to be transferred to extension 526. Leave your name, phone number and address and a flyer will be mailed to you. If you prefer e-mail, send us a quick note to info@dumac.com. Batteries are available should you need a replacement. Ear and Microphone foams are available from our parts department to "Spruce" the headsets up so they may be worn comfortably again. There is also a new Order Taker case available that clips onto the crewpersons pants. The order taker is worn similar to a pager. The crew thinks this is "cool" and we are looking into having these pouches made in different colors. We have outfitted some of you with "DM Kits". These kits were designed for the District Managers. They carry a supply of Ear and Microphone foams and replace them as needed. The foams provide protection to the unit and prevent grease from getting into the headset parts, reducing the cry for help form the crew because the customer says, " I can't hear you!" Panasonic has also developed a new greeter. Based on many of your feature requests, this new product is in filed test and should be ready for the fall.
